- Co-advisor for the student chapter of The Society of Composers, Inc., which produces regular concerts and an annual compact disc recording of student works

Course creation and revision
- Creation of New Music Ensemble as a new course; duties include ensemble coordinator, repertoire selection, recruiting performers, conducting, working with guest artists and composers. The ensemble has premiered several new pieces in the past seven years.
- Successful creation of Senior Project in Composition, Senior Composition Recital, Graduate Composition for Non-Majors, and Contemporary Styles courses
